A fabric bed softens a room in a way a wooden or metal frame cannot, and the upholstered headboard makes sitting up to read considerably more comfortable. The trade-off is cleaning, so it is worth matching the fabric to the room: velvet and boucle look rich but mark more easily than a flat weave, and a darker shade will forgive more in a child’s room or a rental.Our range covers velvet, boucle, chenille, linen-look and plain weave finishes across small single to super king, with plain, winged, scroll, buttoned and panelled headboards.
