Dining

Dining furniture gets more use than anything else in the house, so buy for the wear it will take. Solid wood and laminate cope with daily meals and homework; glass and marble effect look sharper but show every mark; fabric chair seats are comfortable but want a wipe-clean finish if children eat at the table. This section covers dining tables in round, rectangular, square and extending designs, dining chairs in upholstered, wooden and metal finishes, complete dining sets, benches, bar tables and stools, and kitchen islands and pedestal tables for smaller spaces.Measure the room before choosing: 60cm of table per person, and around a metre of clearance behind each chair. Tables and chairs can be bought separately or as matched sets. Delivered free to UK mainland addresses.
